Pre-University School

Overview

York Academy & College Pre-University Program is designed for international and Canadian Middle School and Secondary/Diplomat School students (12 to 18 years old) as a successful head start to Post-Secondary Education. Modelled after Post-Secondary Education classes, the program provides students with motivated and superior university instruction while offering valuable lessons of university lifestyles and commitment. Our students are introduced to necessary skills to succeed in university. Through selected courses, they learn critical and creative thinking, teambuilding, leadership and presentation skills. Students also come away with an increased understanding of renowned Canadian and international universities admission processes and requirements as they also explore their areas of study and career interests

York Academy & College Pre-University Program offers students choices among a set of pre-determined courses with global themes that include leadership, citizenship, environment, and ecology and economics. International students can also choose to take English as a Second Language (ESL), a course that focuses on listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
