We place a high emphasis on student-driven community services, which is integrated into our Junior Kindergarten to Grade Twelve and Pre-University curriculum as a mandatory element to our overall program at each grade level, in order to hearten wisdom of civic engagement outside our own doors. We wish to be a long-standing sponsor, partner and participant in numerous commendable events and activities that reflect our philosophy.

As part of York Academy & College's commitment to promote, encourage, and uphold its excellence-driven philosophy, we offer a variety of awards to acknowledge our students’ highest level of achievements in all aspects of our curriculum offering. Our Awards and Scholarships are available to both Canadian and international students.

York Academy & College Academic Achievement Awards
Awarded to York Academy & College's student who has made the "Greatest Academic Achievement" over the course of one school calendar year.

Teachers' Awards
Awarded to students at all levels who rank the highest in each subject in one school calendar year. For example, the Grade 6 Teacher's Award in Media is etc…York Academy & College Teachers' Awards are available for each of the following category:

Good Citizenship Quality Awards
Awarded to students who have made significantly distinctive positive contributions through local, provincial, national or international civic involvements and engagements over the course of one school calendar year.

Leadership Awards
Awarded to students who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills at different grade levels over the course of one school calendar year.

Students-Peers' Awards
Awarded annually to students who consistently: puts forth their best effort demonstrate leadership and act as positive role models to their classmates and York Academy & College’s student community; build friendships and healthy peer-to-peer relationships; and participate regularly in activities, both inside and outside the classroom, to support, encourage and contribute to the success of the peers.

Scholarships

Prospective Canadian and international students who are interested in applying for York Academy & College merit-based scholarships should complete and submit at the same time both the Scholarship Application Form and Admission Application Form together. York Academy & College will notify applicants of any scholarship awarded when respond to your admission application. Founders' Scholarships
York Academy & College supports lifelong learning and rewards continuing achievements through it Founders’ Scholarships to preserve its core mission of crafting generations of “multi-talented” and “multiple intelligence” renaissance students. Current students at York Academy & College who continuously achieve over 98% will receive a $2,500.00 scholarship to be used towards tuition at York Academy & College.

Entrance Scholarships
York Academy & College also offers Entrance Scholarships to new students who demonstrate excellence in Academics, Sports and Athletics, Fine and Performing Arts, STREAM [Sciences – Technology – Robotic – Engineering – Architecture – Mathematics], Languages and Communication, or Societal Leadership Service. York Academy & College Entrance Scholarships are committed to incubate “multi-talented and ‘multiple intelligence” renaissance students to achieve their fullest potentials for themselves and as contributing members of society in general.
